The Collective PAC Endorses Sheriff Lafayette Woods, Jr. for Re-Election in Jefferson County

PINE BLUFF, AR — The Collective Political Action Committee (The Collective PAC), a national organization dedicated to building Black political power, has officially endorsed Lafayette Woods, Jr. for re-election as Jefferson County Sheriff.

The endorsement follows The Collective PAC’s comprehensive evaluation process, which considers a candidate’s alignment with its mission and values, campaign viability, commitment to policies that uplift the Black community, and demonstrated ability to engage and mobilize diverse constituencies.

Sheriff Woods, who is seeking a third term, has served as Jefferson County’s 32nd Sheriff since first being elected in 2018. During his tenure, the Sheriff’s Office has focused on reducing violent crime, strengthening training and operations, expanding community partnerships, and maintaining full compliance within county detention facilities.

“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsement of The Collective Political Action Committee,” said Sheriff Woods. “Their mission to build Black political power through education, engagement, and accountability aligns directly with my commitment to serve with integrity and deliver results for Jefferson County. This endorsement affirms the progress we’ve made together and strengthens our resolve to continue building safer communities and expanding opportunity for all.”

The Collective PAC’s endorsement highlights Sheriff Woods’ record of leadership, his campaign’s organizational strength, and his continued focus on policies that empower communities and promote equitable public safety.

Early voting in Jefferson County is underway from February 17 through March 2, 2026, with Election Day set for Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
